UNIBO representatives presented GOLD at two different conferences this September:

- RemTech Expo, Ferrara, Italy 18-23 settembre 2023
The Doctoral Colloquium BIOENERGY addresses every part of the biomass conversion chain, from the feedstock via different conversion pathways and their technological implementation, up to the resulting products and services. Bioenergy system analyses and system integration measures round off the topic. At this conference PhD candidate Pietro Peroni presented GOLD in the scope of his doctorate project under the title “A three-level study to evaluate the use of biological inputs to improve biomass production and phytoremediation capacities in Miscanthus x giganteus” (authors: Pietro Peroni; Walter-Zegada Lizarazu; Andrea Monti).
RemTech Expo is the only permanent international event dedicated to protection and sustainable development on the territory, remediation of contaminated sites, coasts and ports, hydrogeological risk, climate changes, seismic risk, urban regeneration and sustainable chemical industry. GOLD was presented as part of a workshop dedicated to phytoremediation. The presentation consisted of an overview of the project, UNIBOs role in the research, and the community engagement aspects of the field work in Bologna. The presentation was carried out in Italian under the title of “COLMARE IL DIVARIO TRA FITORIMEDIO E PRODUZIONE DI BIOMASSA: L’ESPERIENZA DEL PROGETTO GOLD” authors: Pietro Peroni, Walter Zegada-Lizarazu, Andrea Monti.
